The Courts, Our Communities and Protecting Our Democracy

Held in conjunction with the Section's Perfecting Democracy Initiative, this Community Event brought together local and state resources and information about the how our democracy is at stake in this election.

We aim to foster a deeper understanding of the importance of community engagement with our judicial system to enhance the quality of life and improve the criminal justice system. Additionally, the significance of voting for judges who reflect our values is be a key discussion point.

Thank you to our Co-Sponsors! We are proud to collaborate with grassroots community partners such as the NAACP, Oakland Forward, Michigan United. The Michigan Coalition of Black Civic Participation, Mothers of Hope, The Detroit Change Initiative, Our Own Wall Street, Street Democracy, Detroit Action, Reproductive Freedom for All Michigan, and the Michigan Legislative Black Caucus
