Are you ready for a friendly competition for a good cause?
The ABA Section of Civil Rights and Social Justice will host its fourth volunteer opportunity for Free Legal Answers on Wednesday, August 4, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET. Please complete the below steps by July 28 to join us as we answer pro bono questions. We will receive a brief tutorial, hear from our Chair on the importance of pro bono work and jump into break-out rooms to discuss questions and get to know each other as we volunteer. The team that answers the most questions will be announced on Saturday, August 7. We encourage you to join and share your expertise with those who need it the most!
Sponsored by the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service, ABAFreeLegalAnswers.org is an online virtual legal clinic through which income-eligible clients can post civil legal questions to be answered by pro bono attorneys from their state. Currently, 39 jurisdictions are live for client access and an additional six jurisdictions have committed to participate. ABA Free Legal Answers continues to serve as a valuable pro bono resource for attorneys and clients as it is entirely virtual and can address many basic legal questions that arise, both typical and pandemic-based.
