With a COVID-19-induced eviction crisis still impacting millions of renters, unsheltered homelessness at levels not seen since the Great Depression, and all of this disparately impacting Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, there is lots of action happening at the federal level to address housing and homelessness issues. This webinar offers an inside view into current legislative efforts and shares voices with lived expertise to ground the discussion in real-world experience. Webinar attendees learn about background information on the housing and homelessness crises in America, the disparate racial impact of these crises and the need for policy tailored to that impact, efforts to increase housing and homeless funding through the budget and infrastructure packages, and other key bills to implement the human right to housing and create housing justice in America. Come and learn about recent efforts and the role you as a lawyer can play in ending homelessness.
