This initiative, led by the Section of Civil Rights and Social Justice (“CRSJ”), aims to provide the essential tools and training needed to practice civil rights law. A project developed under Chair Lacy L. Durham and Chair-Elect Mario A. Sullivan, the initiative is led by Co-Chairs Dr. Daiquiri Steele and Michael Bergmann. The Section thanks Steptoe LLP for its generosity in supporting this initiative.

The Civil Rights Boot Camp equips attendees with resources, guidance, and insights into the various facets of civil rights law, with a particular focus on practical application in diverse practice environments. Civil rights lawyers come in all forms and practice settings. Whether you're exploring civil rights law for the first time or looking to deepen your expertise, this Boot Camp is designed to help you understand how to advocate for justice, equality, and legal protections for all.

CRSJ is working diligently to launch critical initiatives and programs to address and combat the dismantling of Rule of Law, civil rights, threats to the judiciary, and threats to human dignity. The Civil Rights Boot Camp will continue to grow, to inspire and support the legal profession in upholding the rule of law, civil rights, and civil liberties.
