Dear Members of the Forum on Construction Law:
In light of the recommendation from the CDC that meetings of fifty attendees or more be cancelled, the designation of the COVID-19 disease as a pandemic, and the declaration from the Governor of the State of Washington of a public health emergency, and the significant number of speakers and attendees who were compelled to cancel their participation due to travel restrictions put in place by employers, the ABA and the Forum on Construction Law have made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s 2020 Annual Meeting scheduled for April 22- 24, 2020 in Seattle, WA. The meeting will not be occurring in Seattle or in April. The updated location and date for the Annual Meeting will be released when registration opens back up in a few weeks. We are also working to offer live streaming remote attendance at that meeting as a backup for those who are still unable to travel. We ask that you do not cancel your attendance at the meeting at this time, as registrations will rollover to the new date and you will be all set if it works for your schedule. Thank you for your patience and please take all necessary measures to protect yourselves and visit the CDC , WHO, and Johns Hopkins University for additional information about the virus.
Refunds
Hotel: Please note that hotel reservations must be cancelled by the individual who booked the reservation as soon as possible to avoid any penalties or fees.
Airlines: Please note that flight reservations must be cancelled by the individual who booked the reservation. It is up to the individual airlines if they will waive change fees or issue credits for the entirety of tickets. For your convenience, we have a few of the major airlines cancellation policies here.
Program: Again, we ask that you do not cancel your attendance at the meeting at this time, as registrations will rollover to the new date if those dates work for you to attend. If you do need to cancel, all cancellations for the 20/20 Foresight: Effective Project Management & Strategies must be sent to [email protected], and refunds will be credited to you within the next two weeks using your original form of payment. For questions, please contact the ABA Service Center at [email protected] or (800) 285-2221 [International (312) 988-5000].
