SCOM oversees the Marketing Department to fulfill the ABA membership goal “to increase membership so that the ABA is the national representative of the legal profession, supporting steady growth of dues and non-dues revenue so that the mission, goals and objectives of the Association can be met.”
Standing Committee on Membership
The Standing Committee on Membership is charged by the ABA Constitution and Bylaws to “encourage applications for membership in the Association and formulate plans for maintaining and increasing membership.”
Committee Functions
SCOM is uniquely positioned as the Association’s advocate for all current and prospective members of the ABA, ensuring that both ABA mission and goals are met and that revenue is generated to continue the Association’s important work.
