Matt Hafter is a partner in Thompson Coburn LLP’s Chicago office. His practice focuses on advising technology companies and negotiating technology transactions. Matt has provided legal support at every stage of the process – from technology development, procurement, licensing, and disposition – in a variety of contexts including start-up entities, established businesses, joint ventures, tech transfer, outsourcing, mergers and acquisitions, and the like.
Matt is active in the AI team of Thompson Coburn as part of his tech transactions practice, and regularly collaborates with subject matter experts in tax, employment, patent/copyright enforcement, and commercial litigation when those topics arise in the course of a tech deal. His practice has also included serving as inside counsel to a prior law firm in which he was a partner.
