Farhana Khera

Biography

Farhana Khera is a distinguished civil rights lawyer and advisor with nearly 30 years of strategic legal and policy experience spanning the law firm, government, and nonprofit sectors. She advises corporate, public, and institutional leaders on how to advance equity and nondiscrimination, with a focus in recent years on the intersection of civil rights and technology. Ms. Khera brings experience with employment discrimination and civil rights and racial equity audits, particularly of technology companies, among other issues.

She previously was the founding president and executive director of a national civil rights organization. Ms. Khera is a former Counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, where she advised then-U.S. Senator Russ Feingold (DWI) on civil rights and national security issues, and is a former associate in the litigation practice at Hogan & Hartson LLP (now, Hogan Lovells LLP). She is a graduate of Wellesley College and Cornell Law School.
