New Rules on Personal Financial Data Rights and the Path to Open Banking in the US

Adam Maarec, Ramon Gomez, Joshua Orenstein, and Zoe Strickland

Jump to:

The CFPB recently proposed rules under Section 1033 of Dodd Frank on "Personal Financial Data Rights." This panel will discuss the implications for the "open banking" ecosystem--"data providers" that must build new "developer interfaces," & "authorized third parties" & "data aggregators" that would be required to follow new requirements when collecting data. Companies touching digital banking, payments, or identity verification should attend to learn about the acceleration of open banking in the US.
