The discussion will include the interplay between (i) the new Community Reinvestment Act rules; (ii) the new Small Business Administration Small Business Investment Company Investment Diversification and Growth Rule, intended to make venture capital more accessible to emerging fund managers; (iii) headwinds for racial equity–focused impact investing in light of recent litigation; and (iv) new California legislation, SB-54, addressing venture capital companies and the demographics of the founders they support.
