Solar lending is attracting widespread attention from green energy advocates, policymakers, and regulators, including an August 2024 Issue Spotlight by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and various inquiries by state attorneys general. This program provides an overview of the solar lending market; discusses enforcement, litigation, and regulatory developments against solar lenders; and identifies best practices to mitigate risks arising out of the relationship between finance partner and solar installer.
