The program will review current filing trends and look back at 2023. The panel will discuss what is causing the increase in bankruptcy filings, the increase in lien avoidance litigation in Chapter 13 proceedings, recent sanctions cases nationally in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings, recent student loan cases and initiatives, and the non-dischargeability of debt where the debtor has knowledge of the fraud.
