    On December 20, 2023, the FDIC finalized a rule updating rules governing representations of deposit insurance coverage applicable to:  

    1. insured deposit institutions that offer deposit products to the general public,  
    2. non-bank entities providing deposit-related services to banks, and 
    3. non-bank entities providing bank deposit-related products or services to third parties. 

    Focus will be on the requirements under amended rules, with compliance dates of January 1, 2025 (Subpart B) and May 1, 2025 (Subpart A).
