The Federal Advisory committee Act: Its Impact on Informal Contacts with the Staffs of Administrative Agencies

The Federal Advisory committee Act substantially impedes federal agency consultations with industry and bar groups. This Article analyzes the Act and proposes a legislative solution to alleviate unreasonable restrictions on information gathering by administrative agencies while meeting legitimate concerns about the unbridled use of advisory committees.
