Many thanks to Cheryl Balough for her leadership and hard work on behalf of our Committee during the past three years as Chair and before that in other leadership roles. Cheryl’s insights and relationships with key stakeholders have made a difference in our Committee’s success and laid the path for the opportunities now before us.
We will begin a new ABA year after the BLS Virtual Annual Meeting. I am looking forward to working with all of you on new ways to interact and to collaborate, including new opportunities to participate virtually. There also are opportunities for leadership roles or other ways to participate in the programs and projects led by the Cyberspace Law Committee.
Are you interested in cybersecurity issues? Robotics and AI, or Media, Entertainment and Technological Change? Privacy Law? Cross-Border Law and Technology? Enterprise Technology? Or a host of other Cyber-Tech topics? We have projects and subcommittees for all of the topics and more, and we need volunteers to contribute to our projects or lead our initiatives. Please contact me, Cheryl Burtzel, or Ed Morse, our incoming vice-chair. We would love to hear from you about your ideas for programs or projects, or to explore opportunities for leadership appointments for our various subcommittees or task forces. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
In the meantime, we’ll see you online at the Virtual Annual Meeting. We look forward to working with you in the coming months.
Cheryl McManus Burtzel
Cyberspace Law Committee Vice-Chair
