From the Consumer Privacy and Data Analytics Subcommittee
The Consumer Privacy and Data Analytics Subcommittee has completed its global privacy checklist project. The checklist is an Excel spreadsheet containing citations to and summaries of numerous laws regulating privacy in multiple jurisdictions around the world. Organized by jurisdiction and subject matter, the checklist includes U.S. federal law, the laws of the states of the United States, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, and the laws of Canada, Australia, and the member states of the European Union. It is designed as a starting point for lawyers who counsel clients on complying with privacy laws. Titled A Global Privacy Checklist for the Business Lawyer, the document will be posted soon on the Committee’s web page.
