Navigate the numerous CLE program offerings by using the Young Lawyer, a curated list of programs that have been specially identified to ensure that introductory, overview, or basic level programming is provided for lawyers new to the profession.

Attend the Young Lawyer Luncheon*

Leigh-Anne Buchanan, of Venture Café MIA will present “Debunking the Myth of the Entrepreneurial Lawyer” during this luncheon, presented by the Young Lawyer Committee and sponsored by the American Arbitration Association, on Thursday, March 28, 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM.
*This is a ticketed-event, tickets may be pre-purchased or purchased at the on-site registration desk ($15).

The legal industry continues to evolve at an increasingly fast pace towards disruption from technological advances, greater accessibility of basic legal information, and a new generation of attorneys with vastly different values and perspectives about the practice of law. Join us for an interactive luncheon keynote to learn how entrepreneurial lawyers are poised to navigate and excel in such an uncertain landscape.

Participate in the Young Lawyer Committee Meeting

All young lawyers and law students are invited to attend the Young Lawyer Committee Meeting on Friday, March 29 at 9:30 AM. Learn what the Young Lawyer Committee has been up to and discover opportunities to become more involved in the Committee and the Business Law Section.

Give Back at the Law Student Speed Networking Event

Share in the fun and show your support by serving as a mentor participant in the Law Student Speed Networking Program on Thursday, March 27, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

This program intends to provide a dynamic space for informing law students about the many opportunities in business law and in the Section. Participation in this program does not obligate you to continue any relationship with any participating law student, nor is the goal of the program to connect students with job opportunities.

Law Students

Learn from attorneys from all practice areas to help find your niche and use the resources below to navigate the meeting. Meeting registration is complimentary for all law students! (Does not include ticketed-events including luncheons and dinners.)

Attend the Law Student Institute

Join the Law Student Institute programs for an afternoon of programming tailored to law students on Thursday, March 28, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

The Law Student Institute will present “Preparing Law Students for a Global Practice", “Tips from the Trial Bench,” and a Law Student Speed Networking event to help you expand your professional network and learn more about a career in business law. Increase your networking opportunities by attending the Young Lawyer Luncheon (ticket required, $15) before the programs and Icebreaker Reception after the speed networking event.
