Sealing the Deal: The Singapore Convention for Enforcement of Mediated Settlements

Skepticism about the enforceability of mediated cross-border business settlements has been an obstacle to broader use of mediation in international disputes. This panel will discuss if the new United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, UNCITRAL-generated Singapore Convention will address the hesitation, and do for international mediation what the New York Convention did for international arbitration.
