Audit Letters: What You Need to Know in 2017
January 12, 2017
Every year lawyers are called upon to provide information to their clients' auditors. Our program will review the ABA "Treaty" governing lawyer's obligations to provide such responses and the important limitations designed to protect client confidentiality. We will also address current issues affecting audit letters, including: how to report pending litigation, government investigations and demand letters; updates to audit requests; and electronic audit letter platforms.
Panelists:
- Thomas W. White (moderator), WilmerHale, Washington, D.C.
- Noel Para, Alston & Bird, New York, NY
- Miranda K. Mandel, Attorneys' Liability Assurance Society, Chicago, IL
Presented by: Audit Responses Committee
