Description: After years of eager anticipation, the 2010 Amendments to UCC Article 9 took effect in most states on July 1, 2013. The new rules impact critical aspects of the UCC filing process, especially the requirements for sufficiency of debtor names. This program will equip attorneys with the practical skills necessary to address the issues and avoid the traps most likely to arise under the new law.  It includes best practice suggestions to help attorneys comply with the new debtor name requirements, explains how to use the new UCC forms correctly and provides guidance for navigating the transition rules.
