Unlike traditional contracts smart contracts are executed in blockchain-based software code. This new format will give rise to a number of new types of potential disputes. For example, the code does not execute in accordance with the intention of the parties due to unforeseen circumstances. This program will examine the pros and cons of resolving smart contract disputes using existing dispute resolution methods, as well as new blockchain-based approaches proposed by a number of start-ups.
