Introducing bar group officers for 2011-2012

The following law-related organizations have selected new officers for the 2011-2012 year.


New members of the ABA Standing Committee on Bar Activities and Services are: Vanita M. Banks, Northbrook, Ill.; Anita R. Casey, Charleston, W.Va.; Charles E. “Buzz” English Jr., Bowling Green, Ky.; and Marta-Ann Schnabel, New Orleans.

Thomas A. Pryz, Indianapolis, is special adviser. William R. Bay, St. Louis, continues as chair.


The officers of the board of directors of the National Association of Bar Executives are: Dana Collier Smith, Colorado Bar Association, president; Yvonne McGhee, Virginia Bar Association, president-elect; David Blaner, Allegheny County (Pa.) Bar Association, vice president; Nancy Roberson, Mecklenburg County (N.C.) Bar Association, secretary; and Sam Clinch, Nebraska State Bar Association, treasurer.

Newly installed directors are: Zoe Linza, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, local bar director; and Karen Hutchins, Arkansas Bar Association, director at large.


The officers of the National Conference of Bar Foundations are: Stephen E. Chappelear, Columbus, Ohio, president; Amy Sings In The Timber, Missoula, Mont., president-elect; Elizabeth Lynch, Boston, secretary; Courtney Ward-Reichard, Minneapolis, treasurer; and Thomas R. Tinder, Charleston, W.Va., immediate past president.

New to the Board of Trustees are: Leslie Barineau, Birmingham, Ala.; and Laura Sharp, Austin, Texas.


The officers of the Executive Council of the National Conference of Bar Presidents are: Frederic S. Ury, Fairfield, Conn., president; Karol Corbin Walker, Newark, N.J., president-elect; Carl D. Smallwood, Columbus, Ohio, treasurer; Rew R. Goodenow, Reno, Nev., secretary; and James P. Nolan, Annapolis, Md., immediate past president.

New Executive Council members at large are: Bryan Cavan, Atlanta; Alyce M. Spruell, Northport, Ala.; Denise Squillante, Fall River, Mass.; Steven G. Toole, Bellevue, Wash.; and Joseph M. Sullivan, Great Falls, Mont.


The officers of the Metropolitan Bar Caucus are: Jay A. Blechman, Pittsburgh, president; Allen W. Kimbrough, Phoenix, president-elect; Jane Leslie Dalton, Philadelphia, secretary-treasurer; and Marc R. Staenberg, Beverly Hills, Calif., immediate past president.

New members at large are: Scott F. Cooper, Philadelphia; John W. “Bo” Landrum, Birmingham, Ala.; Mark K. Sales, Dallas; Ann Scarle, Baton Rouge, La.; and Elizabeth J. Watters, Columbus, Ohio.
