The Vertical Block Exemption Regulation (VBER) is a framework established by the European Commission to provide legal certainty for vertical agreements. It was updated in 2022 to include new provisions to address the challenges posed by digital markets and e-commerce. The EC's Vertical Block Exemption Regulation and related guidelines are now two years old. In this program, panelists will discuss the European approach to vertical restrictions, VBER, recent enforcement developments and decisions, and what American practitioners need to know about Europe, including from the in-house perspective.
