On April 23, 2024, the Federal Trade Commission voted to issue a proposed final rule that would prevent most employers from enforcing noncompetes against workers. The final rule would generally prevent most employers from using noncompete clauses in employee contracts to prevent competition. This panel will assess the potential impact of the Rulemaking and how this may be complementary to noncompete rules enacted by some States.
