Henry Liu became the Director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition in 2023. Before his appointment, he was a partner at Covington & Burling, specializing in antitrust litigation and handling complex cases at both trial and appellate levels. Liu has over 14 years of experience in antitrust law and previously clerked for Judge R. Guy Cole Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He earned a B.A. from Emory University and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
