At the federal and state levels, efforts to pass children's privacy laws continue to increase. The Federal Trade Commission has undertaken a review of the rules for the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). States are passing legislation including social media limits, age appropriate design codes, content-filtering, and data use for artificial intelligence. Our expert panel discusses the state of children's privacy and what to expect in 2024.
