Global Seminar Series: Copenhagen - Oct. 24, 2019

The Copenhagen Program is the first such seminar staged in theNordics, and will showcase leading members of the Nordic and international competition communities, including in-house and agency representatives. It will focus on two issues of pressing importance: (1) the latest developments in digital platform analysis, following from recent and high profile policy initiatives in Australia, the EU, UK, and U.S., among others; and (2) the critical question of the relationship of competition law to industrial policy, particularly following the result in Siemens/Alstom.

Global Seminar Series: Sydney - Feb. 6, 2020

Australia has made a significant contribution to the global debate on whether changes in competition and consumer protection laws are needed to address large multi-sided technology platforms. In a world first, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) made wide-reaching recommendations for reform after undertaking an 18 month market study of digital platforms (the Digital Platforms Inquiry), focusing on the impact of digital platforms on media and journalism as well as competition in advertising services markets.
