New Data Privacy Frontiers: India’s Draft Personal Data Protection Bill - June 19, 2020

The proposed Indian Personal Data Protection Bill, which may be referred for a vote later this year, seeks to develop a national comprehensive data privacy framework. Due to India’s geopolitical and economic muscle, the bill will impact multinational tech companies and help shape global policy. The ABA Antitrust Law Section in collaboration with the International Law Section recently submitted comments (here) on the bill to the Government of India.
