This seminar introduces the FTC’s Division of Consumer Protection in the Bureau of Economics, and will address how to define and estimate consumer injury from deception from an economic perspective, with a focus on comparative demand analysis. Relevant economic analyses will be introduced and applied to the FTC’s Volkswagen matter.
