Business and competition disputes involving anticompetitive practices often cannot be effectively pursued through traditional antitrust claims. In such cases, business torts (such as unfair trade practices, interference with contractual relations, fraud, and others) and civil RICO claims are often used as adjuncts to, or in lieu of, antitrust claims. The Unfair Competition Committee focuses on competition law inside and outside the United States beyond the traditional antitrust statutes.
