    The Women Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda created in 2000 by UN Security Council Resolution 1325 reaffirmed the importance of the equal participation and full involvement of women in all efforts for maintaining and promoting peace and security. Since 2000, several UN Security Council Resolutions continue to reaffirm the importance of the WPS Agenda and underscore the need for conflict prevention focused measures.
