This program is part of the First Year Associate Survival Kit Series and a collaboration of the YLD’s First Gen Initiative, Professional Development Team, and Legal Pathways and Law Student Outreach Team.

Despite growing diversity in the legal profession, significant disparities remain, especially for women, first-generation attorneys, and attorneys of color. These challenges often lead to isolation, stress, and mental health struggles. This program will explore how building supportive communities can foster resilience, career growth, and well-being for legal professionals.

The session will include insights from attorneys, judges, and a mental health expert, offering actionable steps to strengthen support systems and address the unique challenges faced by first-generation lawyers.
