“Walking the Walk” is a new program sponsored by the ABARPTE Section’s DEI Committee, where we seek to highlight and discuss the innovative work that our community members are doing in their local communities to promote more inclusive practices within real property, and trusts and estates. In our inaugural session, Alan Gassman will explain his role as a mentor and facilitator for sponsoring emerging practitioners in elder law and estate planning, particularly through his work in creating the Estate Planning Council Diversity Fellowship and Award with two of his local estate planning councils. One of the recipients of this Fellowship and Award, Chriseanna Mitchell, will discuss her participation as a Stetson Law student, and the combination of learning, mentorship and real-world experience through her collaboration with Alan. This fellowship program serves as a model for other estate planning councils and will be illuminating for how we might further develop the pipeline of talent and opportunity for the future of our profession and our Section membership.
The content of this program does not meet requirements for continuing legal education (CLE) accreditation. You will not receive CLE credit for participating.
