      When planning with business interests and other hard-to-value assets, formula transfers can be powerful strategies to mitigate gift and estate tax exposure. However, these strategies are not necessarily embraced by the IRS. In this presentation, a panel of tax litigators and an estate planner will discuss the various types of formula transfer strategies and the body of case law that guides practitioners.

      The ABA will seek 1.5 hours of CLE credit in 60-minute states, and 1.8 hours of CLE credit for this program in 50-minute states.
