The deadline for submitting a reporting company's beneficial ownership information (BOI) report to the federal government under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) is looming. This program will provide a brief overview of the CTA and explain how to analyze the reporting obligations, understand whether the reporting company qualifies for one of the 23 available exemptions, and provide guidance on how to manage the reporting process. An update will be provided for the federal court cases filed challenging the constitutionality of the CTA and federal legislation that seeks to repeal the CTA or extend the reporting deadline.

The ABA will seek 1.5 hours of CLE credit in 60-minute states, and 1.8 hours of CLE credit for this program in 50-minute states.
