Any attorney even considering approaching an adverse possession case, regardless of which side, should start here. Mr. Golden has written the only known American book on the topic from a litigator’s point of view. He will speak on the traditional elements of an adverse possession case and hidden elements. He will also discuss pleadings, defenses, practical tips, tricks, ideas, and workarounds in the event there is some barrier to an adverse possession case. He will also discuss a number of cases which may serve as good guides for litigators.

      Mr. Golden spent decades as real estate litigator, and his book has been lauded by real estate professors. But despite the technical nature of the book, Mr. Golden has a light touch as a speaker. His book also has the rarest thing imaginable in a legal book - a few jokes.

      The ABA will seek 1.5 hours of CLE credit in 60-minute states, and 1.8 hours of CLE credit for this program in 50-minute states.
