ESG & Sustainability SEERies: Sustainable Supply Chains

    11 AM EDT

During this event, attendees will hear how businesses are embedding sustainability into their supply chains-whether in the beginning stages of developing a company approach, or years into operating a mature program. As supply chain transparency and due diligence requirements or expectations continue to emerge, particularly arising from international legislation, businesses must identify and manage related risks, working with suppliers to embed sustainability measures into their value chains. Curious to hear about best practices that businesses are following in this space and what lessons can be learned from outside the US? Register today!

Join the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER) for its "ESG & Sustainability Roundtable SEERies," where we will discuss hot topics related to environmental, social, governance, and sustainability developments in the U.S. and beyond. Each session will cover a key topic or development in this space and provide attendees with the chance to hear and learn from practitioners and experts across different sectors, industries, and jurisdictions. These events will also include breakout sessions, featuring in-house-only breakouts that give attendees opportunities to discuss and collaborate with their counterparts in other organizations under the Chatham House Rule.

ABA SEER membership is not required to join; however, if you are interested in learning more about the benefits of SEER membership, please visit ambar.org/JoinSEER.

On June 12, attendees will take a look at how businesses are embedding sustainability into their supply chains-whether in the beginning stages of developing a company approach, or years into operating a mature program. As supply chain transparency and due diligence requirements or expectations continue to emerge, particularly arising from international legislation, businesses must identify and manage related risks, working with suppliers to embed sustainability measures into their value chains. In this roundtable we will explore how businesses can determine what data they need to meet their obligations or voluntary commitments, how to gather that data, and how to audit that data and performance. And we will consider appropriate recourse in the case of a breach or failure by a supplier to fulfill contractual obligations, including how to approach termination. Curious to hear about best practices that businesses are following in this space and what lessons can be learned from outside the US? Want to know where lawyers can find workable clauses? Join this roundtable discussion to brainstorm these questions and benchmark with your peers, led by Anna Kuperstein and Ben Stansfield.

Save the date for our next session on August 14!
