You're invited to join the next Women in Tax Forum Zoom Tea on Thursday, January 10 at 3:00 pm ET. Grab your favorite cup of tea or coffee and take a 45-minute break with the Women in Tax Forum as we chat with Nancy L. Prosser in our first Zoom Tea of the new year. We will talk with Nancy about her journey as a tax law professional, the aspects of her career that bring her joy, and advice she has for other women in tax.

Nancy joined the Multistate Tax Commission on June 1, 2020 as General Counsel. She works as one of eight attorneys who provide legal support to the Commission. Nancy previously served as General Counsel at the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, where she provided legal advice and counsel to the Comptroller, Deputy Comptroller, and other members of Executive Administration. Nancy joined the Comptroller's Tax Policy Division in July 2004 and served in a variety of roles over almost 16 years, including Tax Policy Area Manager, Assistant Director of Tax Administration, and Special Assistant to the Deputy Comptroller. She also served as the official alternate for the Texas Comptroller on the MTC Executive Committee.

Prior to joining the Comptroller's office, Nancy was an Assistant Attorney General in the Taxation Division of the Texas Attorney General's Office and spent over four years in the Austin law office of Vinson & Elkins L.L.P.

Nancy earned a bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from St. Andrews Presbyterian College, a master's degree in business administration from Southwest Texas State University, and a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. She is a licensed attorney in Texas and before the United States Supreme Court.

A Zoom link will be sent in the confirmation email and will be sent prior to the meeting start.
