      In 2023, per Congressional mandate and developed in collaboration with the private and public sectors, NIST released a framework to better manage risks to individuals, organizations, and society associated with AI.  The framework will help organizations that design, develop, deploy or use  AI to enhance AI trustworthiness, while accelerating AI innovation and growth.  In this conversation, Reva Schwartz, a research scientist in the Information Technology Laboratory (ITL) at NIST, and a member of the ABA Presidential Task Force on AI and the Law (ABA AI Task Force) Advisory Council, will join Cynthia Cwik, a Vice-Chair of the ABA AI Task Force, to discuss the NIST AI framework and how it is being implemented by organizations to advance trustworthy and responsible AI.
