    Understanding Islamic Child Custody Law

    11 AM EDT

With increasingly mobile families, U.S. family courts are now more routinely called on to resolve issues for families who have a connection to a jurisdiction that may apply, at least in part, Islamic law.  A court may be asked to recognize a foreign child custody order or address requests for a child to relocate or travel to a country in the Middle East, among other things. The ABA International Law Section will host a free webinar for those interested in learning more about the implications in their family law cases and to help dispel common misunderstandings about the law and process in these foreign courts. This program will be key to understanding the underpinnings of these foreign court systems when presenting your case in a U.S. court.
