Of critical importance to many in the forestry and greater environmental communities is whether and how management of the national forests may change under the new administration. In this webinar, we will hear from advocates who have proposed numerous new and expanded policy initiatives for the Forest Service, which manages 193 million acres of public forestlands across the country. We will also hear from former political appointees who have themselves been part of presidential transitions as to what can be expected for agency personnel, the public, and advocates not only during the transition process, but also over the course of the incoming administration. Last but not least, current career Forest Service personnel will share their experiences with navigating presidential transitions.
