Considerations for People with Substance Use Disorder in Light of COVID-19
3 PM EDT
The COVID-19 pandemic is disproportionately burdening already marginalized groups, including people with substance use disorders (SUD). Emerging evidence suggests the substance use has increased over pre-pandemic levels; at the same time, many of the barriers to appropriate, evidence-based care for SUDs have worsened, and the fragility of existing systems of care has been exposed. Our panel will discuss these and other health, policy, and legal issues at the intersection of COVID-19 and SUDs.
