The EPA has devoted significant resources and time to changing how the Superfund program operates and we are now seeing the largest and most expensive sites in the Superfund program's history moving forward. The objective of this program is to provide a basic primer to new lawyers and lawyers who do not typically practice in this evolving area. Our panel of experts will provide a brief history of CERCLA and how it is used to assess and clean up contaminated sites, as well as provide an overview of how the statute defines responsible parties and explain the statutory mechanisms for determining who must contribute to the cost of such cleanups.

Our panel will help you learn how to:
    •Identify the basics of CERCLA
•Appreciate the significance of the ongoing changes to CERCLA's implementation
•identify and engage with the issues that might be relevant to your client's transactions and operations
