    As of January 1, 2018, eight states and Washington D.C. have legalized marijuana for recreational use.  All but four states have legalized medical marijuana use or the use of medical CBD.  Yet, as of January 4, 2018, the federal government rescinded the Department of Justice policy that directed US Attorneys to not interfere with those who were compliant with state cannabis laws.  The evolution in legal status for pot has important and unique implications for the construction industry.  This program will highlight the legal implications for attorneys advising contractors, design professionals, and project owners of marijuana use among construction/design industry workforce.
