    Qualified Plans IRS Hot Topics - IRS Determination Letter Application Program Changes and Employee Plans Voluntary Closing Agreements

    This panel will discuss the changes to the IRS determination letter application program under IRS Revenue Procedure 2016-37 with respect to individually designed plans, including the deadline for adopting plan amendments required as a result of legislative changes and regulatory and other governmental guidance, and the anticipated impact of the determination letter application program changes on plan sponsors and practitioners.

    The panel will also discuss using the Employee Plans Voluntary Closing Agreement Program to correct plan qualification failures that are not eligible to be corrected under the Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System.
