Local Markets Issues in Merger Review

Mergers across a variety of industries – including supermarkets, pharmacies, and gas stations – require antitrust practitioners to grapple with issues related to how the transaction might impact competition in local markets. Recently, the FTC reviewed several transactions that implicate local markets issues, including a number of retail gasoline mergers. This panel will discuss these recent transactions, as well as some tough questions implicating local market analyses in other industries.
