Mediation and Arbitration

In today’s legal landscape, many, if not all, cases in litigation will be required to go through some form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”). ADR typically takes the form of either mediation or arbitration however other methods exist. When used effectively, mediation and arbitration can be useful tools to assist your clients by resolving a case and avoiding the expenses of a trial. Like all the other steps in the litigation process, however, both have their own set of procedural rules and strategies. Understanding the various options, procedures, and approaches associated with mediation and arbitration can be instrumental in resolving a case and keeping your client from the expense of trial.
