Immigration Enforcement, Civil Rights and Affordable Housing: When ICE Arrives

    1 PM EDT

This teleconference will explore issues relating to immigration enforcement and civil rights protections at affordable housing developments.  Topics discussed will include the relationship between immigration status and safeguards against national origin discrimination under civil rights laws, as well as what an affordable housing provider can and cannot do when ICE appears at a development.  We will hear from both a housing provider about policies and programs to protect immigrant residents and from an immigration attorney whose legal services center advises residents and housing providers on how to respond to ICE.
