    Inability to Pay

    1 PM EST

This brown bag panel will cover topics related to the inability of Defendants to pay fines and damages levied against them. This panel will include voices that have worked on cases where the inability of a company to pay due to financial distress was a meaningful factor for the Court in assessing the amount of fines or damages levied against a company. Panelists will include antitrust partner Djordje Petkoski of Shearman & Sterling and economist Mark Zmijewski of Charles River Associates. The panel will be moderated by antitrust partner Alan Dial of King & Spalding, with a brief introduction by antitrust partner Adam Hemlock of Weil, Gotshal & Manges. This is strictly a telephonic event.
