    Prosecuting and Defending False Claims Act Liability

    A. G. “Alec” Alexander, III, previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana where he prosecuted False Claims Act cases. Now, Mr. Alexander works for Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson and defends False Claims Act matters on behalf of provider clients. Gregory S. Lindquist previously served as an Associate Counsel for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Counsel for the Inspector General where he was involved in handling the administrative prosecution of matters which potentially raised False Claims Act liability. Now, Mr. Lindquist works for Caplan & Earnest and defends civil healthcare fraud and issues arising under the False Claims Act. Mr. Alexander and Mr. Lindquist will discuss prosecution and defending False Claims Act liability in both the administrative and criminal realms.
